SETTING A CIVIL AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE CENTER IN PERM

  • 26.01.2009

AVIALEASING Company and Perm Airlines Perm Federal State Unitary Aviation Enterprise under the auspices of Perm Region Government have come to terms of signing an agreement to establish a civil aircraft maintenance center in Perm.

In the course of implementing the project of twenty four Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft lease AVIALEASING and Perm Federal State Unitary Aviation Enterprise have come to terms of signing an agreement to set the required infrastructure to provide the maintenance of regional aircraft in Bolshoye Savino Airport.

It is expected that in order to implement this project the joint Russian-Italian enterprise should be established in Perm to do the necessary scope of works to launch the Perm maintenance center and its further operation.

To carry out this agreement it is very important that Bolshoye Savino in Perm should be the base airport for Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft supplied to UTair by AVIALEASING. The regional Government offered UTair Aviation to arrange the airlines routes from Perm to Moscow (Vnukovo) and other destinations in Russia and abroad; it is assumed a number of UTair aircraft should be based in Perm. Eventually these aircraft will be replaced by Sukhoi Superjet 100.

The Perm maintenance center meant for continuing airworthiness of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft represents a complex of premises and facilities as well as the appropriate machinery and equipment to perform scheduled maintenance and repair works.

The international airport of Bolshoye Savino incorporated in Perm Airlines Federal State Unitary Enterprise is the largest airport at the territory of Perm Region. In 2002 the runway was restored and extended up to 3200 meters what has afforded admitting aircraft of different types. The engineering service is certified to provide basic maintenance of Antonov An-24, An-26-100, Yakovlev Yak-40, Tupolev Tu-134 and Tu-134M aircraft types and approved to perform ground handling of Boeing B737-CL (300/400/500), B737NG (600/700/800/900), Airbus A319, A320, A321, Tupolev Tu-204-300, Tu-214,IlyushinIl-96,Il-62;Il-86 and Antonov An-124-100 aircraft types. At the territory of the airport there located two fuel-filling companies having petroleum supply depots and an underground pipeline which provides uninterrupted fuel supply directly from Perm refinery.
